BLS Re-Certification in Hamilton
Basic Life Support (BLS)—also known as CPR-HCP (Health Care Provider CPR)—is the highest level of CPR training available through St. Mark James. Hamilton First Aid offers CPR-HCP/BLS re-certification courses for participants who need to renew their expiring advanced CPR credentials.
This re-certification class focuses solely on healthcare-level CPR and AED skills and does not include First Aid renewal. The course refreshes advanced CPR techniques, including one- and two-rescuer CPR, bag-valve-mask (BVM) use, and team-based resuscitation.
To register, scroll to the bottom of this page to view upcoming class dates, times, and locations.
Participants must meet both of the following criteria:
1. Previous Full CPR-HCP/BLS Certification
You must have completed a full (non-recert) CPR-HCP/BLS course with a recognized Canadian provider, such as:
- St. Mark James
- Red Cross
- St. John Ambulance
- Lifesaving Society
2. Certificate Issued Within the Last 3 Years
Your CPR-HCP/BLS certificate must be less than 1 year old.
If participants do not meet these requirements, they must register for the full CPR-HCP/BLS course instead of the re-certification.
