Hamilton First Aid offers Emergency First Aid & CPR re-certification courses for individuals needing to renew their expiring Emergency First Aid certificate. This re-certification program is shorter, more affordable, and designed to refresh essential lifesaving skills—while providing a new 3-year workplace-approved certification.

This course is designed for participants who have previously completed a full Emergency First Aid course with a recognized provider and need to renew both Emergency First Aid and CPR (A or C).

Participants must meet all of the following criteria to qualify:

Your previous certificate must come from a recognized WSIB-approved provider, such as:

  • St. Mark James Training
  • Canadian Red Cross
  • St. John Ambulance
  • Lifesaving Society

Certificates older than 3 years are not eligible for renewal.
Participants must complete the full Emergency First Aid course again if the certificate exceeds the 3-year window.

A full Emergency First Aid course must have been completed before taking a re-certification.

Printed or digital versions are acceptable.

Course Information – Emergency First Aid Re-Certification

Emergency First Aid + CPR-A or CPR-C Re-Cert: $79.99 + HST

8 hours, as required by WSIB and national training standards.
This duration applies to all participants, regardless of background or experience.
